Travel

W e Love to travel.  I am a geographer as it was my minor a the University of Minnesota.  History was my major.  We love to camp and before we were married we purchased a tent and some things and swent camping at Patteson State Park for Memorial Day in 1974.  It was a fun first time together and a fateful outing.

Then we traveled the Country.  We moved to Florida in 1974 and started teaching in the Collier County Schools in Immokalee. From Florida we explored the East Coast going to many Civil War Battlefields to Lynda's non-delight and going all the way to Acadia National Park for lobster.  We went out west and traveled through the south and Northern Texas into New Mexico and up into Colorado riding on the Durango-Silverton Train (Got to ride trains).  We moved back to Wisconsin in 1983 and traveled west to the Coast, North to Alaska,. We traveled East to Nova Scotia.  Newfoundland is still on the list.

Then, in 1996 we took Rick Steve's Backdoor to Europe.  We went to Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein and Switzerland.  That trip was so wonderful.  I was in history going through the wreckage of German Schlosses along the Rhien from Nepolian's armies, the fairy tail Schloss Neuschwanstein, Munchen,Saltzburg, Viena, the St. Bernard Monestary an Bielstein on the Mosel.
